What an exciting time we had at Bangkok Prep Summer School this year! The very busy and motivating 3 week academic programme provided a stimulated learning environment for children who wanted to increase their English skills. 

Group 1, the youngest students, were ‘Up in the Air’ taking part in a wide range of practical and creative activities relating to things we may find in the air. We had lots of fun playing team games with a real parachute and making our own parachutes for toys. We also investigated things with wings and had a thoroughly enjoyable day out at Suan Rot Fai Butterfly House.

Group 2 were finding out all about the exciting world of ‘Amazing Animals’. They were introduced to a wide range of creatures, from tiny mini beasts to fierce jungle animals. An exciting trip to Siam Ocean World allowed them to examine creatures from the deep and even come face to face with sharks!

Group 3, our oldest students, put their computer skills to the test with ‘Incredible ICT’. They became ‘bloggers’ setting up a blog and writing daily updates. A visit to Major Cineplex to see ‘Despicable Me’ in 3D gave them all the inspiration they needed to begin to create their own animations.

Overall, the programme was a huge success and lots of fun for everyone involved. Well done to all the children who took part and, of course, big thanks to all the staff that made the programme so successful.
