Alumni reflect on how Bangkok Prep prepared them for a globalised world

“Although I initially applied to an international school merely for better English language skills,
the teachers and the learning environment encouraged me to think independently. Because the
teachers embraced critical thinking and intellectual curiosity, I enjoyed rapid improvements
my three years spent at the school. Bangkok Prep has given me faith in education – an
which empowers and liberates – and for that I will forever be grateful.”

To be honest, it felt weird knowing that I would not be returning to Bangkok Prep after
this past summer holiday. My time off has really allowed me to appreciate my Bangkok Prep
experience. From the sports and academics to seeing my friends each school day, I really
appreciated what the school has offered me. This institution has prepared me in all aspects
needed to succeed in my university life, and for this I want to say thank you. To the students at
Bangkok Prep: Don’t worry about your future, focus on the present. Make the most of your time
at Bangkok Prep and don’t be afraid to be who you truly are.

Bangkok Prep is not only a place where I discovered my passion for Chemistry, but also the
place where my individuality and philosophy flourished. I was involved in sports, academics
and creative arts, and also had the opportunity to prepare for upcoming challenges such as
university education. I have yet to experience the wonders of the world and to do that; I will be
attending Lancaster University in England. Without Bangkok Prep, I would not be the person
that I am today, and I am grateful for the great memories of my time here.

I could not imagine myself being in London and studying History at SOAS, University of
London without attending Bangkok Prep. The small class size encouraged me to discuss and
analyse the academic topics with my teachers and friends. The analytical skills are one of
the best gifts Bangkok Prep has given me. The opportunities to participate in many student
activities significantly provided me independence and leadership without which I could not
imagine myself living and studying alone in England.
