Bangkok Prep Gains 2nd Place in Bangkok Economics Essay Competition
Natthaphat Sawatdecha (First), a Year 12 student from Bangkok Prep joined the Bangkok Economics Essay Competition 2016 held at Shrewsbury International School and gained 2nd place! Natthapat took part in the competition with several students from other leading international schools in Bangkok. The well attended competition was aimed at Sixth Form students and fosters creativity of thought through the improvement of research skills, academic essay writing and general scholarship. The students chose between two themes, ‘sustainable development’ or the ‘open international market’ and discussed while exposing their ideas and opinions. Assessed by Chulalongkorn Professor, Thitinan Pongsudhirak, the event is a great opportunity for Sixth Form students as it allows aspiring Economists to discuss and debate important world issues in a more flexible framework. Natthaphat won four economic books for his achievement!
